It's 1962. Marilyn Monroe died and The Beatles were rejected by Decca. The World was on the brink of nuclear war and in Tamworth the Co-Op Supermarket was opened by Len Fairclough from Coronation Street. Elvis had four No. 1s and in Tamworth in 1962 Teenbeat nights and Twistacular dances were the thing. You could see many famous acts at the Assembly Rooms including Shane Fenton and The Fentones for 5/6 (27.5p).
