Neighbour’s Objections to Juke Box
An application by Peter Bridgen for a music and singing licence to play a ‘juke box’ at his new café in Glascote Road was adjourned for an inspection to be made by the justices and a report received from the Fire Officer.

Mr. Bridgen was already operating a fish and chip saloon and was proposing to open a café next door. The café would accommodate 30 people and he proposed to put in a juke box for the playing of records between 8.30pm – 10.30pm on weekdays.

Mr. Osborne who was opposing the application said his objection was the noise and trouble likely to be caused by the running of a juke box.
