Title: Suitable for Vegetarians
Excellent stuff from a band who always challenge and rarely disappoint. What we have here is three varied, well-balanced tracks two of which are good and one which is outstanding. That outstanding song is the punchy 'Mr. XR3', a bitter indictment of a human type complete with a lovely acoustic intro, a desirable series of classy guitar riffs and even a few glorious “la, la, la’s” in the chorus. Classic gear. The other two songs – ‘Spring’ and ‘Cloud 10’ – are more traditional in style and format but both contain interesting nuggets of sound including angryish vocals, powerful guitars and some spiffing drumming. A tape that will delight established Breakfast partakers and may well tempt others outside the fold.****
