Tamworth Herald - February 7th 1964

Featured as an up-and-coming local group are Johnny Silver and the Cossacks. After appearing at local spots, the group recently linked up with Tamworth promoter Vince Baker and have appeared at the Assembly Rooms as a supporting group. Pictured (left to right) are vocalist Johnny Silver, Gerald Palmer (rhythm guitar) and his drummer brother John Palmer, both of Mancetter, lead guitarist David Mason of Wilnecote , and Bob Broadhurst (bass guitar), who comes from Atherstone.
